A fresh start for self-employed borrowers

Easy home loan refinance

Your high-rate loan helped you when you needed it. Now let’s look for a better path.

If you went low doc with a non-bank lender or private funder, I’ll review whether your repayment history and current position can open the door to a lower-rate home loan.

Reduced paperwork for eligible refinances. Personal review, no obligation.

Paid on time for 12 months? Let’s review your options.

An eligible easy refinance can use your loan conduct and account statements instead of business financials and tax returns. I’ll check the lender, credit profile, equity and rate reduction before recommending a path.

Started with low doc?

You may have needed flexibility because business income was hard to document. Your old loan doesn’t have to dictate your next one.

Credit issues in the past?

I’ll review what has changed. Prime easy refinance requires an acceptable current credit record; an old issue does not automatically qualify or rule you out.

Private or non-bank loan?

I’ll check your existing funder. Some loans cannot use the streamlined path, but I can explore other suitable refinance options.

Less paperwork. A careful assessment.

A prime easy refinance may offer a lower rate with less paperwork for eligible borrowers. I’ll compare suitable options, lender requirements and the potential savings for your situation.

  • The existing home loan has been held for at least 12 months, with good repayments and no significant arrears.
  • The current lender must be eligible and the loan must appear on the comprehensive credit report, with the stated La Trobe exception.
  • Acceptable current credit is required, including a minimum Equifax Apply One score of 600 and no signs of financial stress or recent adverse financial change.
  • The new rate must be lower. The current rate must be no more than two percentage points above the new rate.
  • Up to 80% loan-to-value ratio may be available. Below 70% means the loan is less than 70% of the lender-assessed property value.

Other borrower, property, residency and loan conditions apply. A company or trust must have been established for at least 24 months. Repayment history alone does not guarantee approval.

Ask Matthew for the current prime rate

I’ll confirm roughly what rate may be available for your owner-occupied or investment home loan and compare the full cost of switching.

Rates depend on loan purpose, repayment type, LVR and current lender pricing. Ask Matthew for the current interest and comparison rates, fees and a personalised assessment.

Eligibility varies by lender. Matthew will confirm the current requirements for your circumstances.

Your questions, answered.

Do I need business financials or tax returns?

An eligible easy refinance can use loan and transaction, savings or offset statements instead of the usual full financials. The current published requirements specify at least 90 days of matching statements, plus an updated transaction listing if the loan statement is over 60 days old. I may review 12 months to check your overall repayment history. ID, credit, living expenses and other eligibility checks still apply.

Can I refinance if I was previously credit impaired?

Possibly, depending on your current position. This prime product requires clear credit and its credit-score criteria. I’ll check whether old issues remain and explore a different path if needed.

Will a lower repayment always save money?

No. Extending the term may reduce the monthly payment while increasing total interest. I’ll compare fees, exit costs, remaining term and overall cost, as well as the rate.

Can every private loan use easy refinance?

No. Lenders have restrictions on existing loans, credit reporting and the size of the rate reduction. I’ll check your funder before suggesting this route.

What if I don’t qualify today?

I’ll explain the obstacle and look for another suitable option or a practical plan for a later review.
